What is this yoga?
Well, in simple words it could mean a way to exercise by corrective methods of breathing in and out, a bit of tossing and turning around in the right position and voila. What does it do? Most definitely, it cleanses your body, mind, and soul. We all cleanse ourselves from outside but this form of exercise not only teaches you take care of your body, but it automatically cleanses your mind and soul as well.
Just breathing
To attain all this you've just got to breathe right. Life actually comes to life if breathing is done in the yogic way which is called pranayama. The methods of breathing must be learned the right way, which could be as easy as breathing in the left nostril and out the right, holding your breath, only breathing out continuously. Breathing and moving your body in the right positions could create a healthy life for us. Of course, any form of exercise has to be learned with discipline. Learn it the right way first and then perform it everyday.
Mind games
Since yoga is all about enriching the body, mind, and soul it also plays with your mind. It is said that whatever actions that we perform in our daily lives are because of the thoughts in our mind. With the power of body and mind action a human can reach the soul and energize it which in turn will enrich our lives. A healthy mind is one which we should be able to control, and not the one which controls us. This technique of controlling the mind can be done by meditation, visualization, and many other ways.
Soul searching
Well has anyone asked themselves the key to happiness? Yes, but no answers to it. We all search for happiness from the outside world, whether it be happiness weighed in terms of materialistic and financial gains, fame, fortune, success, love, etc. it is everything we run behind our entire lives and then when we achieve it we still are not happy. This happens because in spite of all this rat race, our soul is still empty. We are searching for something from the outside world but the key to it lies within ourselves. How foolish! Unless we don't see a reflection of ourselves what is the point in what we reflect to the world. Think about it.
Advantages
Loads! Whether you do yoga through breathing, asanas (exercise), meditating, visualizing, goal setting, focusing, concentrating, any form of it, it will make you go through a process of cell rejuvenation and open up all your energy chakras, giving you only positive vibrations. It totally balances the negative and positive charges in your body and makes them neutral which gives total balance in your life in all aspects.
